The Problem

Over the past (8) years, we have all witnessed a government who has been fiscally irresponsible. We have seen a government spend BILLIONS in Iraq, provide tax breaks for corporations that outsource our jobs to foreign countries and a government that has instituted a flawed federal tax system.  As a result of such an irresponsible government, our national economy has been crippled.  In addition, we have all witnessed a dramatic increase in fuel, food, corporate cut-backs and a massive number of home foreclosure over the past few months.  While at the same time, we have witnessed a decrease in our wages, social programs and educatonal programs for our children.

Solution 

• Elect a New Government that is responsible and accountable to the people and our country
• Encourage industry to develop alternative fuel resources, develop energy/flex efficient automobiles and provide tax incentives
• Provide more flex station to provide alternative fuel supplies
• Hold the oil companies (Executives) accountable and responsible for any predatory oil price gouging
• Hold the Mortgage companies (Executives) accountable and responsible for any predatory loan practices
• Hold corporations (Executives) accountable and responsible for not protecting our retirement packages
• Encourage the research and development of alternative energy resources, particularly those that are immediately available domestically
• Revamp the NAFTA program to ensure it benefits America and benefits our international trade partnerships
• Impose higher taxes for corporations who move our jobs overseas and impose criminal charges for corporations who hire illegal aliens
• Retool our workforce with the skills to necessary to successfully compete for  "Green" opportunities

The Problem

With the constant increase of prescription drugs, insurance premiums, gas and food, families are making life changing decisions.  We see where health insurance and oil companies are all reporting record high earnings but where millions of Americans (which also includes over 9 million children) are without health care because of the increasing costs.  While on the other hand, we have a decrease in wages, health prevention and public health programs.  It is really hard to believe in America - we are challenged with providing quality affordable Health care to our people.

 Solution 

• Elect a New Government that is responsible and accountable to the people and our country
• Develop a Health care structure which provides affordable Quality Universal Health care and the cost is shared between government, corporations and individuals 
• Increase funding for Medicaid and Peachcare/State Children Health Insurance Program (SCHIP)
• Allow free market for drugs, allowing Americans to take advantage of lower prices abroad (FDA to ensure safety of drugs)
• Funding for additional research and testing to find treatments/cure for AIDS/HIV, Cancer,  Heart Disease and other debilitating medical conditions
• Increase funding to programs which will assist people with Mental Health condition, Disabled Americans, Autism and other conditions
• Increase funding to provide for preventive health and public health programs

Our children - our future.  As we grow into a global society, we must ensure our children are properly educated to compete in a global society.  Today, our children are face with so many challenges such as: drugs, sex, social acceptance, self-esteem issues and other obstacles.  High school drop out rates and pre-teen pregnancy are increasing while standardized testing scores are decreasing.  As well, our teachers are also challenged with larger class size, low wages and thus teachers are also leaving the class room.  Legislation as the No Child Left Behind Act, (designed to increase the quality of education) but could not be implemented because the funding was left behind.  For the students entering college, the increasing costs have caused many students graduate with a degree of debt.  Our Children - our Future.

Solution 

• Elect a New Government that is responsible and accountable to the people and our country
• Provide ongoing training for our Teachers and reward them for achieving educational benchmarks 
• Revamp educational program to make Foreign Language, Science, Mathematics, Technology - mandatory subjects for all students
• Increase funding to the No Child Left Behind, Head Start and progressive educational programs
• Hold School Boards, Educators, Parents and Students accountable
• Ensure college students have grants, scholarships or government underwritten loans
• Reward school districts when students exceed
• Empower teachers to be innovative and creative to get results
• Increase expectation for our children - instill excellence in education
• Expose our children early to various careers and skills needed
• Encourage, Reward and Redirect our children when needed 

The Problem

One of our most precious assets are Senior Citizens and we must protect them.  Today, many Senior Citizens are faced with many challenges such as increased cost of food, utilities, prescription drugs, gentrification and many other obstacles.  Some are faced with crime and drugs in neighborhoods, predatory refinancing loans, retirements plans being stolen and several other issues.

The "Golden Years" has changed to a Survival challenge.  When Seniors are forced to choose between prescription drugs or food, then our government have failed.  When our government decides to cut public funding programs, but continues to provide Billion of dollars overseas, then our government have failed.  When predatory mortgage companies mis-lead Senior citizens with predatory refinancing loans, then our government have failed. 

Solution 

• Elect a New Government that is responsible and accountable to the people and our country
• Tax Relief for Senior Citizens who fall under the income of $50,000
• Provide quality government sponsored/universal health care with program to provide prescription drugs 
• Reform Social Security program and ensure funding will be sufficient
• Develop partnership/mentor programs to bridge the gap between our youth and elderly
• Appropriate law enforcement in neighborhoods to ensure our elderly are protected and safe.
